In downtown Maputo, 17-storey twin towers were designed, one of which will house a ministry, and a third building for a car park.
Access to the towers is via a central square followed by a base that connects them.
The ground floor houses the main lobby, the general reception, the auditorium, private parking for the Ministry Administration, the common parking area and all technical areas. The third building is an 11-storey car park.
The towers are structured around an access core, allowing for an open floor plan.
Floors 2 and 3 contain support spaces for the institutions’ operations, such as the library, training room, temporary archive and IT area.
Floors 4, 5, 7 to 12 are open-plan office floors with two management offices. Floor 6 houses the technical areas supporting the restaurant, staff changing rooms and goods unloading area.
Floor 7 contains most of the social spaces: restaurant, canteen and gym.
Floors 14 to 16, known as the ministers’ floor, contain all the spaces associated with administration, including offices for the Minister, Deputy Minister and Permanent Secretary.
Finally, the 17th floor is also a social floor, where you can enjoy a bar with a panoramic room and terrace overlooking the coast of Maputo.
